When a phase change occurs in the organic vapor in the measured medium, due to the liquid itself not being able to withstand the drastic changes in pressure and temperature, a negative pressure zone proportional to atmospheric pressure is generated. This creates a vacuum state, resulting in a certain static pressure in the transmission component (called the diffusion tube), converting the total mass over that distance into displacement quantities in the form of density ρ and rate ρ. The value can be directly displayed or automatically recorded and output by devices such as digital integrators and printing recorders.
